Why BSI

How we work with our partners

We invest alongside our partners

Our principals put their own capital into the projects we sponsor, next to the people who invest with us.

A local operating platform

Through Charleston Commercial, our brokerage, property management and construction administration teams work under one roof in Charleston.

Relationship-first, long-term ownership

We work with people we know, and we buy properties with the aim of holding them over the long term.

Disciplined underwriting

We look at every property block by block and number by number before we bring it to anyone.

Who we are

Broad Street Investments (BSI) is the investment affiliate of Charleston Commercial, a Charleston brokerage, leasing, property management and development firm. Charleston Commercial finds, leases and manages real estate; BSI is how its principals invest in it.

We know our market block by block, and we stay involved in the properties we own long after the closing.

How we work

Our investor relationships begin with real conversations, not marketing. We keep things in writing and we explain the reasoning behind our decisions.

What we value

Clarity and candor

Plain language, honest numbers and a written record, so that everyone understands the same thing.

Confidentiality

Information about the people we work with stays private.
